These are a handful of highlights from my current art educator experiences. I have had experience teaching students ages 6 to 18 along with adults.

BENNER AND BELLEFONTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
March-April 2023
For my elementary student teaching, I spent 8 weeks between Bellefonte Elementary and Benner Elementary Schools where I taught grades K-5th. I created and taught multiple lessons ranging from tissue paper watercolor landscapes, Klimt inspired collages, and even bubble art accordion books. In addition, I also assisted in curating both school's student art shows.
BELLEFONTE AREA MIDDLE SCHOOL
January-March 2023
For my secondary student teaching experience, I spent 8 weeks at Bellefonte Area Middle School where I taught grades 6-8. I began by co-teaching lessons alongside my mentor including zentangle waves, clay monsters, and Indian ink painting. I developed and implemented a variety of lessons that were taught across all grades from collage, psychedelic art, and tattoo art as a career and self-expression. During this time, I also participated in Act 80 days and assisted in the after school art club.

SATURDAY ART SCHOOL
Fall 2019-Fall 2022
Established in 2004, Penn State’s Art Education Program began Saturday Art School for students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Historically, these classes have been taught by advanced art education students in collaboration with art education faculty and graduate teaching assistants, and were held in studio classrooms in the Patterson Building, the Visual Arts Building and the Arts Cottage on the University Park campus.
THE ART CENTER HIGHLAND PARK
Summer 2021-Summer 2022
The Art Center Highland Park aims to inspire and ignite a passion for the arts through its innovative programs and classes for ages 6 and up. I teach mixed media classes where students explore materials such as watercolor, natural dyes, paper mâché, and more.
ECHO RAGS
2016-Present
Echo Rags is a repurposed clothing line for men, women and children. I up-cycle flannels, t-shirts and tanks in sizes that fit most people. Echo Rags was published in the 2017 summer edition of Stampington and Co.'s Altered Couture.
MONART DRAWING STUDIO
Winter 2016-Present
Monart Drawing Studio is a private art studio located in Arlington Heights, IL and is specialized for artists of all ages. Sage was an intern from Winter 2016- Spring 2017 and immediately after became a part time substitute teacher until Summer 2018.
